An artist, designer & researcher born 1993 in Marseille, Hugo Scurto listens to, observes and learns from other livings, during workshops, residencies, errantries and performances.
With and throughout these encounters, they craft digital music dispositifs, by carefully entangling artificial intelligence with collected materials.
Their hybrid creations, installations, musics and applications, are experienced in artistic, scientific, educational and therapeutic contexts.
A Normalien in Physics, Hugo completed a PhD at IRCAM, a pre-doctorate at Goldsmiths University of London & three post-docs at École des Arts Décoratifs, with one at Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière.
Over the past ten years, they have been sharing their research-action-creation in many regions of France and around the world, in conferences, festivals, teachings or encounters.
Their work regularly leads to transdisciplinary publications and collaborations, most recently with the HACNUM network and the Association Régionale pour l’Intégration (ARI).
